| Background |
| I grew up in Portland, Oregon in a home where my
parents loved and followed Christ. So when I asked Jesus to become my
Savior at age 9, it was a celebration in my family. It was during my
High School years that God imprinted on my heart a passion to help
people come to know and follow Jesus. This God-given passion guided me
to Bible College, to be a Youth Pastor, to Seminary, to an Associate
Pastor position, and now to my current role as Senior Pastor which I
entered in May of 1999. |

| Passion |
| What drives me is not my profession, but my love
relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether I am a pastor, or a plumber, is
secondary to God's lordship in my life through Jesus. My goal is to help
Torrance First Baptist be a place where people can meet God, where God's
grace is a model in relationships, and where God's word is our guide for
what we think, say, and do. |

| Family |
| I have been married to a wonderful lady, Karen,
since 1980, and have three great young-adult children: Tana, Micah, and
Crystal. |
| |
| Hobbies |
| Over the years, my favorite hobby was basketball.
Now that my knees will not allow that, I have switched to watching
sports, good movies, and reading. |
| |
| Likes & Dislikes |
| I love meat. |
| I enjoy ice cream. |
| I don't like most vegetables! |
| |
| Favorite Bible Verse |
| "You are saved by faith in God who treats us much
better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you
have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is
nothing you can brag about." Ephesians 2:8-9 |
