| OUR VISION EXPLAINED |
| The pentathlon is an Olympic
competition that is composed of give events. |
| The goals is to succeed in all
five, not just one or two. |
| Our lives are a pentathlon
consisting of the five components of this vision. |
| Keeping a balance of all five in
the key to meeting the goal. |
| |
| Our visions
is to SHARE the good news of Christ with
others. |
| God does not want his love and
purposes kept a secret. Once we know the truth, he expects us to share
it with others. |
| Right before Jesus went back to
heaven, he gave us this assignment: |
| to make disciples, baptizing them
and teaching them to follow Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20). |
| |
| These are great privileges -
introducing others to Jesus, helping them discover their purposes, and
preparing them for their eternal destiny. |
| Sharing the good news is worth it
because the spreading of God's grace results in bringing even more glory
to God (2 Corinthians 4:15). |

| Our vision
is to MODEL Christ in all aspects of our
lives. |
| God's number one command for us it
to love God with everything that we are (Matthew
22:37). |
| The more we develop this love
relationship with God, the more we will become like Christ and fulfill
God's purposes, honoring him. |
| God gives us a new life and a new
nature when we accept Christ. |
| For the rest of our lives on
earth, God wants to continue this transformation process
(Romans 12:2). |
| The result in fully devoted
disciples who product righteous fruit in their lives
(Philippians 1:9-11). |

| Our vision
is to ENGAGE in loving relationships with
other believers. |
| When we become Christians, we
become a part of God's family. |
| Following Christ is not just a
matter of believing; it also includes belonging to and learning to love
the family of God. |
| John even wrote that our love for
each other proves that we have gone from death to life
(1 John 3:14). |
| In addition, Paul tells us that we
should accept each other because Christ accepted us
(Romans 15:7). |
| It is our responsibility to learn
how to love as God does because God is love and it honors him. |
| Jesus said "... Just as I have
loved you, you should love each other. |
| Your love for on another will
prove to the world that you are my disciples." |
| (John 13:34-35) |

| |
| Our
vision is to SURRENDER our lives joyfully
to God. |
| Romans 12:1 says that true
spiritual worship is offering our very bodies as living sacrifices to
God. |
| This surrendering of self is at
the core of worship. |
| It is giving Him all honor and
placing Him on the throne of our lives. |
| Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying
God, loving Him, and giving ourselves to be used for His purposes. |
| When we use our lives for God's
glory, everything we do can become and act of worship
(Romans 6:13). |

| |
| Our vision
is to SERVE God and others with our
abilities and resources. |
| Each of us was uniquely designed
by God with talents, gifts, skills, and abilities. |
| The way we are wired is no
accident. |
| God gives us our abilities to
benefit others. |
| By using our gifts to serve
others, we put on display the variety of generosity of God's grace
(1Peter 4:10). |
